he term "green building" has become  mainstream,
and when applied to construction, has multiple applications. Most recently green building refers to construction that implements sustainable design practices intended to produce environmentally sensitive health and economic benefits. On many of our projects, we use recycled materials to protect and preserve the region's existing natural resources. We design and construct buildings that utilize technologies to lower energy consumption, improve indoor and outdoor air and water quality and ultimately ease the impact on the environment. Marous Brothers Construction is proud to be experienced in constructing over $210,000,000. in green structures and continue to encourage our project teams to employ sustainable design practices.

We consider that being green goes much further than the design and construction of environmentally friendly buildings. In fact, we are changing our general business practices to incorporate sustainability in our every day operations. As an example, we have developed an in-house paper-recycling program that benefits local school systems.

We have also instituted a lights off program to conserve energy and are currently replacing existing light bulbs and fixtures with more efficient, energy saving devices.

Many of our employees are currently enrolled in an in-house LEED training program with the intention that all first and second tier management will achieve accreditation by 2010. Our commitment to sustainable design, energy conservation and resource preservation is company-wide.
