A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

As 2009 winds down, we at Marous Brothers Construction look forward to marking our 30th year in business next year.  I marvel at how fast 30 years have gone by since my brother, Scott, and I began this company in 1980. It is amazing how things have changed, yet dare I say, have stayed the same.
   From our humble beginnings of only Scott and I renovating houses, to becoming a premiere Carpenter Contractor, then moving into General Contracting, to having our third brother, Kenny join us in 1997 and launching the Site and Concrete Divisions, to today employing over 600 people, we have certainly accomplished much over the years. We've had our share of successes (as well as a few admitted misfires) and have always remained loyal to our core belief of providing superior service with honesty and integrity.
  I am often asked why Marous Brothers Construction is so successful and what makes us different. The simple answer to that question is because of our people and dedication to serving our clients. The truth is, that's only part of it. Marous Brothers Construction has found success because of a lot of hard work by a lot of people. We've managed to build a reputation for   our unmatched level of quality, doing what we do with integrity, and really looking out for our clients. After 29 years, I'm proud of what this company has accomplished, and how we've done it.
    Over the years, my brothers and I have learned the importance of developing the talents of our employees and entrusting them to make decisions on their own. We've created opportunities for people here to learn this business and prosper in their careers. We've given people a chance to believe in themselves and achieve things they never thought possible.
   This company was built on an unwavering commitment to client service. That is the one core value that has not changed over the past 30 years. We've created a "Marous Standard" that keeps us all on the same page for achieving nothing less than superior service and quality.
   We're successful because of the way we're structured. Our diversification allows us to self-perform and stay competitive when most other contractors couldn't. Along with our General Contractor and Design/Build Divisions, we've become one of the largest Carpenter Contractors and Interior Finishes Contractor in the area. And when a project demands a fast-track schedule, a unique work environment and/or budget under $3 million, our Specials Projects Group is deployed. Our four building Divisions, including Construction Management, and four self-performing Divisions makes us one of the few contractors that can honestly call themselves a true builder.
   Who really benefits from all of this? Our clients do. We can best offer creative ways of tackling even the most challenging obstacles. Because of the way we're structured, we can most often deliver a project on time and on budget. And we can offer better methods for risk management, protecting the interests of our clients.
  As Marous Brothers Construction enters our fourth decade of providing superior construction services, I look forward to building on our many accomplishments. We will continue to work hard, to make sure that there are opportunities for those willing to step up to the plate, and to remain loyal to our core belief of delivering superior service with honesty and integrity. We will stay dedicated to being the only true builder in the midwest that can deliver a truly exceptional building experience.
