| Adding to our out-of-state portfolio, Marous Brothers Construction is returning to the Washington, DC affordable housing market with out-of-state development company, and long-time client, Vesta Corporation. Having successfully completed two other affordable housing projects for Vesta, Rainbow Terrace Apartments and Royal Mall Apartments, it was a natural fit for Marous Brothers Construction to work with them to renovate properties in the DC area. Our crews, already working in Washington, DC at Gibson Plaza Apartments, are now working to renovate Avalon Apartments, a 60-unit apartment complex.

The scope of work includes the selective removal and replacement of all suite entry doors, interior doors, flooring, kitchen cabinets and countertops, lighting fixtures, and all windows. Each unit will also receive a fresh coat of paint, new furnace, A/C unit, and plumbing fixtures. Five of the 50 units will be modified to accommodate ADA accessibility requirements and one of the units will be turned into a learning center/office area for the property management staff and tenant use. Through our Design/Build Division we will be self-performing selective carpentry and drywall repair items along with local subcontractors so that this project is completed on time and within budget, with the quality craftsmanship for which Marous Brothers Construction is known. |
