American Campus Communities, the nation's largest developer and manager of privatized student housing, selected the project team of Weber Murphy Fox Architects and Marous Brothers Construction to collaborate on a new Cleveland State University student housing project. This $38 million development consisted of a 232,000 sq. ft., four-story, wood frame structure, built in two phases, providing 559 students apartment-style suites equipped with the latest technological features (including wireless internet access and electronic key security access systems), kitchenettes, study lounges, and social areas. Additionally, on the first floor of the building, facing Euclid Avenue, there are administrative and marketing offices, as well as retail storefronts that provide amenity services for the students.

In addition to the student housing component, the project also included the construction of a four-story parking structure designed to accommodate 300 vehicles. Now complete, phase I houses 300 students and welcomed students back for the Spring semester of 2010. Phase II, currently under construction, will be completed by August of 2011. Our self-performing divisions have provided and will continue to provide site and concrete services, rough and finish carpentry, drywall hanging, and acoustical ceiling installation work for the entire project.
