In 1996 Marous Brothers Construction was awarded their first $10 Million General Contractor Project: Central YMCA Renovation.
Marous Brothers Construction provided General Contracting Services overseeing all value engineering, contract negotiations, and construction for the Central YMCA in Cleveland. We also self-performed site, concrete, carpentry and window restoration work on this project. Great care was taken throughout the renovation to retain and restore the historic features that made this building a Cleveland landmark so many years ago. This facility features a state-of-the-art fitness and recreation center for downtown residents and commuters. While most of the building has been modernized in the renovation to meet the needs of the individuals it serves, the gymnasium and Butler Hall (the recreation facility) have been completely restored using the original blueprints and specifications. The building also offers residential/student housing specifically designed to meet the needs of college students attending nearby Cleveland State University.
