GREEN INITIATIVES
The term “green building” has become mainstream, but when applied to construction it has multiple applications. To Marous Brothers Construction, green building means construction that implements sustainable design practices intended to produce environmentally sensitive health and economic benefits. Whenever we can we use recycled materials to preserve and protect the region’s existing natural resources. We design and construct buildings that utilize technology to lower energy consumption, improve indoor and outdoor air and water quality and ultimately ease the impact on our environment. Marous Brothers Construction is proud to have constructed in excess of $250 Million in green structures and encourages our teams to employ sustainable design practices. Many of our employees have attained LEED AP or LEED GA status and have been nicknamed the “Green Team”.
We know that being green goes much further than the design and construction of environmentally friendly buildings. In fact, we have changed many of our general business practices to incorporate sustainability and paperless communications in our everyday operations. One of those initiatives is our in-house paper recycling program that benefits our local school systems.
