Breakthrough Schools Woodland Hills Expansion

The expansion at Breakthrough Schools’ Woodland Hills campus is nearing completion with students set to enjoy the modern facilities after Winter Break.
Construction Progress
For the last year, our Design-Build Group has been leading the $2.87 million expansion at Breakthrough Schools’ Woodland Hills campus. The project includes a new gymnasium with bleachers, scoreboards, and basketball hoops to provide a state-of-the-art environment for sports and student activities. Additional space for administration features new offices and a multipurpose room, enhancing functionality for staff and programming. Designed with complementary materials, the addition blends seamlessly with the existing structure to maintain campus cohesion. Scheduled for completion in August 2025, the expansion strengthens Breakthrough Schools’ mission by offering modern facilities that support education, recreation, and community engagement.
Exterior
- Landscaping is complete
- Metal siding is complete
- Roofing is complete, coping remains which will be installed next week.
- Fencing in the coming weeks
- Exterior signage installation 11/20/25
Interior
- Painting – prime & first coat complete
- Acoustical ceilings in progress – dropping ceiling tile this week
- Ceramic tile complete
- Toilet partitions complete
- Plumbing fixtures complete
- Bath accessories in-progress
- LVT flooring/base to begin 2nd week of December
- Wheelchair lift will be installed 1st week of December
- Athletic Equipment:
- Basketball hoops, scoreboard and volleyball inserts to be installed 11/18/25
- Bleachers – delivery expected mid-January
The students will be able to utilize the new gym space upon their return from Winter Break!
