Park Synagogue Wins North American Copper In Architecture Award
Marous Brothers Construction is proud to have been recognized as a key partner in the Sydell and Arnold Miller Family Campus of Park Synagogue project, which received a 2024 North American Copper In Architecture (NACIA) award highlighting excellence in design and craftsmanship.

Our team, including Park Synagogue, Centerbrook Architects, Schaal Glass Company, MetalTech Global, and Mohawk Construction and Supply Company, created a stunning 10,000 sq. ft. copper-clad addition. In total, 7.5 tons of copper was installed on this campus addition which adjoins the original building construction comprised of an additional 18 tons of copper!
The versatility, durability, and timeless aesthetic of copper make it a material of choice for many architects. In the case of Park Synagogue, copper’s malleability enabled graceful form-making while providing a material reference to the original Erich Mendelsohn masterpiece in Cleveland Heights. The copper elements on this project provide a warm, natural mood, while also giving a crisp, modern finish.
