Marous Brothers Construction completed the renovation of the Irene and Alan Wurtzel Theater at Oberlin College, creating a state-of-the-art performance venue. The project included a new theater, lobby, back-of-house areas, and support spaces designed to serve the College’s Theater Department and accommodate a range of performances. With seating for up to 350 patrons, the theater was designed for multiple stage and seating configurations through moveable platforms and flexible seating layouts. The lobby supports special events such as small performances, presentations, and dinners. Sustainable design considerations were integrated into the building and systems, resulting in an adaptable arts facility that supports theater, dance, spoken word, music, and campus programming.
