The Longfellow Senior Housing

Marous Brothers Construction partnered with Vesta Corporation to deliver The Longfellow Senior Housing project—a $19.7 million initiative that transformed a historic school and introduced a complementary three-story wood-framed addition. The original building was thoughtfully repurposed to preserve its architectural character, including the adaptive reuse of the former auditorium and cafeteria into shared community space and a resident services leasing suite. Our team installed a new elevator to enhance accessibility and performed targeted upgrades throughout the historic structure. The new 3-story building, set back to maintain historic sight lines, connects seamlessly along the north side and merges at the east end, unifying old and new. The result is a thoughtfully integrated, functional environment that honors the past while serving the needs of today’s senior residents.
